Accreditation of Doctoral Programmes of Studies

The certification of Doctoral Programmes of Studies constitutes an institutionalized process of external evaluation, aimed at ensuring the quality and academic excellence of doctoral studies at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

Through the certification process, it is confirmed that the DSPs of NTUA meet the Quality Standards of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education (HAHE) and are aligned with the principles of the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015). The evaluation focuses on the structure and content of the programmes, the mechanisms of supervision and support for doctoral candidates, as well as on procedures ensuring research ethics and excellence.

According to HAHE’s Call for Proposals (Ref. No. 37278/21.09.2023), Higher Education Institutions are invited to submit certification proposal dossiers for their DSPs during the period from 21/09/2023 to 31/12/2026, including full documentation of academic quality and learning outcomes.

NTUA is gradually preparing the submission of certification dossiers for its Doctoral Study Programmes, in close collaboration with its Schools, following HAHE’s guidelines and the current Quality Standard for Doctoral Programmes.
