The Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the competent body responsible for the organization, development, and oversight of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) of the Institution.
MODIP is internally structured into:
a) the Quality Assurance Committee, and
b) the Quality Assurance Service.
The purpose of the IQAS is to ensure high-quality standards across all operational levels of NTUA — educational, research, and administrative — by promoting continuous improvement and effectiveness, always in line with international best practices and, in particular, with the principles of the European Higher Education Area (ESG 2015).
The scope of the IQAS includes the academic accreditation of NTUA’s Study Programmes, the accreditation of the IQAS itself, and the application of quality assurance principles in all academic and administrative units, services, and human resources of the Institution. Specifically, quality assurance processes cover teaching, research, and administrative activities.
The effective implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System relies on the commitment of the entire academic community, including teaching and administrative staff, students, and governing bodies. Quality assurance is a dynamic and ongoing process that requires transparency, cooperation, and the collective participation of all stakeholders in order to achieve NTUA’s strategic goals of excellence.
